A Foundation of Service
My career began in the United States Army, where I served for more than two decades, including five combat tours.
It was there that I learned to communicate when the stakes were high, build trust across cultures and organizations, and help leaders navigate complex environments where clarity, relationships, and reputation mattered.
The Army also taught me something I've carried throughout my career: trust is earned long before it's needed.

After retiring from the military, I continued my career in communications and public affairs, working alongside founders, CEOs, executive teams, elected officials, and mission-driven organizations.
From professional sports and local government to public safety and the executive suite, I've helped leaders communicate through change, navigate public scrutiny, strengthen important relationships, manage reputation, and tell stories that build trust with the people who matter.

I've learned that the best communications work doesn't begin with a press release, a social post, or a communications plan.
It begins with understanding the leader, the business, the people who matter, and where they're trying to go.
That's why I work differently.
I stay close enough to the business and the leader to understand what's happening before someone asks, “What should we say?” I ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions when necessary, and help leaders consider how decisions may affect their relationships, reputation, and the trust they've worked to build.
I believe leadership is stewardship.
